SpongeBob Kid Party Ideas for Icebreaker Activities
*SpongeBob UNO Cards: You can have the kids play a bit of UNO, but there are even better kid party ideas for cards, such as having them build card houses with these cool SpongeBob cards and having a contest to see who can build the tallest card house. Card-flicking to see who can flick a card the farthest.

*Make SpongeBobs! This is one of the coolest kid party ideas for a SpongeBob icebreaker activity… Get a bunch of regular-sized yellow sponges, yellow and white pipe cleaner (for the legs and arms). Have some markers, craft paint, glue, white paper, brown paper, red paper for the tie, and have the kids create their own SpongBobs.

*SpongeBob painting: Get a bunch of sponges and let the kids dab them into paint and then on paper to make all kinds of designs. You can also use this ready-made set of paints and sponges.

*SpongeBob in a Bottle: Each kid gets a baby food jar (or any other little jar or clear water bottle for that matter). They then add small sea beads, glitter, water, baby oil and blue food coloring to create their own ocean. Then for the finale, you can print out many small SpongeBobs, laminate them, and have the kids put them into their oceans (hot-glue the tops on so the ocean doesn't spill on your floor…). This is one of the best kid party ideas for make-your-own favors.

*Balloon Octopuses: Draw an octopus body (draw it so that it looks like a sun with 8 tentacles) on paper and make many copies of this. Then have the kids cut them out and decorate them with markers, glitter, stickers etc. Punch holes in the center and inflate small balloons to put their tips in the holes, securing them to the back of the body with tape. Let the kids draw faces on the balloons with permanent markers.

*Tropical Fish Windchime activity: Here's a great fish windchime activity to get the kids into the under-the-sea mood and also something cool to take as a favor, show the parents and hang at home.

*Sealife Beading Kit: This is also a great activity that kids will enjoy decorating themselves and taking home as favors.

SpongeBob Kid Party Ideas for Food:
Here are some kid party ideas for your SpongeBob birthday party cuisine. Remember to put small signs on each dish just to make sure everyone understands that they are munching on real SpongeBob food:

*Mr. Krabs Patties (hamburgers)
*Mrs. Puff fish sticks
*Seaweed pasta (Green linguine)
*Squidward-dogs (Hotdogs that look like tiny octopuses. Cut all the hotdogs in half - but not all the way - only so that they open. Then slice halfway up four times on each half so that you have eight dangling sections and place in boiling water. Watch them curl up like arms!!!)
*Gary's Submarines (Subs!! you can make this a buffet where everyone makes their own subs)
*Plankton pizza (mini bagel bite pizzas)
*Sandy Cheeks pasta shells
*Tuna Casserole
*Popcorn Shrimp with Shrimp dip
*Seanut and Jellyfish sandwiches (Peanut Butter and jelly-fish)
*Surfer-girl squirrel pal fries
*SpongeBob fruit salad (Make a fruit salad and put it in a hollowed-out pineapple just like SpongeBob's pineapple house. This is a great centerpiece and a healthy snack!
*Worms in a blanket (Slice hot dogs lengthwise several times and cut cheese into many strips. Then, unroll croissants and stuff them with the hot dog and cheese strips (worms). Roll the croissants back up and bake as directed (or until golden brown). The kids will squirm with delight when they taste!!)

SpongeBob Kid Party Ideas for Drinks:
*SpongeBob Ocean Slushy - Mix 3 cups of ice, 3 cups of blue sports drink or punch, and 3 large scoops vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt in a blender. Whirl until smooth and serve (place the shake in the freezer for a thicker shake).

*Blue Punch (Put gummy fishes or gummy sharks inside. You can also freeze the gummy fish and sharks in cubes of ice)

*Pop Rock Punch (This is another variation of the Blue Punch. After you've placed a filled glass in front of each guest, add some seaweed dust (a few Pop Rocks candies) to each cup. It will then crackle, pop, and split when it comes into contact with the liquid.

*Jelly-fish liquid (pink lemonade)

SpongeBob Kid Party Ideas for Treats:
*Here's a great treat! A SpongeBob Squarepants snowcone maker!
*SpongeBob cheese snacks (and more SpongeBob treats most likely found at large supermarkets)
*Goldfish crackers
*Gary's Snack mix (combine all kinds of nuts and pretzels)
*Blueberry Jell-O (After making the Jell-O, refrigerate and let it partially set. Then put gummy fish and gummy sharks inside. When the Jell-O is ready, top each cup with a thin layer of 'sea foam' (cool whip) and some more gummy life preservers.)
*Bowls full of gummy fish and gummy sharks
*Dole Pineapple Fish (You can find them pre-cut in the can)
*Shell-Shaped Chocolates
*SpongeBob jelly pops

Tip: Put some of the treats in little beach pails with shovels in them.

SpongeBob Kid Party Ideas for Favors
You can create your own favor packs using sand pails. Stuff them with all kinds of SpongeBob accessories, such as these soak and grow SpongeBob spongies, fish squirts, shell necklaces, beanie type sea animals, little watercolor sets, stickers, sea life bubble bottles, jelly bracelets, gummy fish, gummy sharks, fish trinkets, etc.

You can also give each kid one or two REAL goldfish in a plastic bag with water. And don't forget to put a sponge inside and give the kids some fish food also. This is one of those kid party ideas that the kids always love!!
